Fremantle midfielder Blake Acres limped from the ground during training on Wednesday morning, he sustained a hamstring injury.

Acres was one of the better players in the win against Carlton in the opening game of the Marsh Community Series on Saturday.

Update, 5th March: Acres will miss the start of the 2020 H&A season, he has avoided surgery with a return to football date not yet available.

“While we do not yet know the exact duration of the injury, we can confirm that Blake will miss the opening rounds of the season.” GM of Football, Peter Bell.

Acres played 19 games for the Saints last season,  he averaged 16.2 Disposals & 3.7 Marks.
