Using the current AFL Draft Value Index & winding back the clock would AFL teams be more open to trading Pick 1 for Picks 8 & 9?

Obviously at the time of an AFL Draft decisions are made with all available information at hand but the reluctance to trade Pick 1 is a consistent theme, looking back at the 2010-19 AFL Draft period no team traded the No.1 overall Pick.

AFL teams clearly value the top pick in the draft, likely more so than what the Draft Value Index stipulates.

Here’s a look back at each AFL Draft between 2010-19, which trades would you complete now?

*Hypothetical based on a player career only, some teams owned multiple selections in the same draft year.
