Sydney

The Swans like to defend deep which puts Jake Lloyd SYD (DK $7,700, DS $15,670) very much in play on Thursday night, with the Giants heavy favourite the scoreboard pressure will likely increase which could also inflate kick-ins for Lloyd.

Lloyd has scored 100pts or more in 2 of his last 3 games (Season Ave: 86.8), he has averaged 28.0 Disposals over the same period.

If the game script plays out the way of current betting markets then a ceiling game is in play for Lloyd, his ownership will likely be moderate-high.

GWS Giants

Lachie Whitfield GWS (DK $8,000, DS $15,790) has been a strong fantasy play for several weeks now, he has averaged 94.4pts from his last 7 games scoring 100pts or more in 3 of those games.

Whitfield will be a popular selection despite many premium scoring options available on Thursday night, he should be strongly considered.

Value

Tom Hutchesson GWS (DK $2,500, DS $5,000) will make his AFL debut on Thursday night, he was selected at Pick 65 in the 2019 AFL Draft.

Hutchesson plays as a small rover/ pressure half forward type that can win his own ball & cut through traffic with his speed & agility, with the stacked Giants midfield it’s unlikely he’ll see significant usage through the midfield against the Swans.

At a bargain basement salary Hutchesson is far too cheap to ignore, he allows for significant salary relief in order to pay up for ceiling type players. He’ll be a popular selection.
