2021 Fantasy: Round 10 Top 5 Trade Targets Under $300K

Round 10 of the 2021 H&A season begins on Friday night, @aflratingsPete ranks the Top 5 Trade Targets Under $300K in AFL Fantasy classic.

The following list is a balanced opinion of which players to target, the comments are important to acknowledge; ability, playing role, job security, cash generation & potential scoring output have an influence on the rank.

1.Riley Collier-Dawkins (Richmond) MID $290K BE -18

Collier-Dawkins was impressive last week & was involved in quite a few important contests, he recorded a season high 86pts at Marvel Stadium. Richmond do have some key players on the radar to return over the coming weeks, at this stage he appears to be comfortable in the top 22 players at the Tigers. The Break Even is still tough to ignore, expect a strong salary increase this week.

Season Ave: 71.0

2. Lachie Jones (Port Adelaide) DEF $278K BE 24

Jones comes back into the team after injury ruled him out for several weeks, he should slot straight back into a half back role for Port Adelaide. Jones has the opportunity to establish himself over the coming weeks in the Port Adelaide team, he should be able to significantly increase his salary over the coming weeks.

Season Ave: 53.0

3. Caleb Poulter (Collingwood) MID/FWD $288K BE 8

Poulter has been one of the low key younger players at Collingwood, he appears to have settled into a wing role at the Magpies. Poulter has averaged 58.7pts from his opening 3 games at AFL level, he has averaged 62.5pts from his last 2 games. It is encouraging that Poulter has retained his position in the team with the return of Taylor Adams, a decent salary increase is likely for Poulter over the upcoming period.

Season Ave: 58.7

4. Ryan Byrnes (St Kilda) MID $276K BE 7

Byrnes has averaged 60.3pts from his 3 games at AFL level this season, he recorded a season low 48pts last week against Geelong. The match-up against a high disposal team in Round 10 won’t be easy, if he hits his average against the Bulldogs that will result in another decent salary bump.

Season Ave: 60.3

5. Jordon Sweet (Western Bulldogs) RUCK $283K BE 4

The injury to Stef Martin & the uncertainty surrounding Tim English has opened the door for Sweet at the No.1 ruck position at the Bulldogs, he has averaged 63.0pts from 3 games this season. The Break Even for Sweet is quite healthy, with limited options available he may offer a short term solution with the possibility of a decent salary increase if Martin & English continue to be sidelined.

Season Ave: 63.0
