Injuries are having a major influence on fantasy teams in recent weeks, in Round 10 Tom Rockliff injured his hamstring while Stephen Coniglio received a leg cork early in his game.

The return of Patrick Dangerfield will be a high agenda item for a fair few coaches in Round 11, Matt Crouch will also be a must watch for owners on his availability with the Crows travelling to Darwin on Saturday night.

Setting up your team for the Bye period should be front of mind now, trade decisions should be influenced on the balance of each week between Rounds 12-14.

AFL Fantasy Game Notes: Round 10

Each week of the H&A season there will be a few key notes from each game that may provide some benefit to your AFL Fantasy decisions.

Article by @aflratingsPete

Sydney v Collingwood (SCG)

Isaac Heeney (88pts) has seen an increase in midfield usage in the last 2 weeks, firstly due the late withdrawal of Josh Kennedy last week & Zak Jones not playing in Round 10. With Kennedy & Jones both now sidelined for an extended period expect the Heeney numbers to be solid in the short term.

Brodie Grundy was enormous again in Round 10, he recorded 18 Disposals & 64 Hit Outs against the Swans for 149pts.

Hawthorn v Port Adelaide (UTAS Stadium)

Ricky Henderson has put up some decent ceiling games in 2019, he recorded 37 Disposals & 11 Marks against the Power for 143pts.

Tom Rockliff injured his Hamstring in the 3rd Qtr & was stranded on 91pts, he will fly to Shanghai on Tuesday (Updated: Mon 27 May).

Western Bulldogs v Nth Melbourne (MRVL)

Caleb Daniel (106pts) was mostly used at kick-ins for the Bulldogs, with 7 of 12 games remaining at Marvel Stadium Daniel could post some decent numbers in the second half of the season.

Jack Ziebell (48pts) started forward & even after stints in the midfield he was off for the day, the final game for Brad Scott may have had an impact on Ziebell.

Going forward with interim coach Rhyce Shaw the numbers for Nth Melbourne could be volatile, with 12 games remaining in the season team structure & changes could pose an issue for fantasy coaches.

Adelaide v West Coast (AO)

Rory Sloane was matched up with Mark Hutchings early but the tag had little impact, Sloane forged his was to 32 Disposals & 8 Tackles for 119pts.

Jack Redden recorded 27 Disposals & 15 Tackles for 135pts, Elliot Yeo also recorded 27 Disposals & 15 Tackles for 132pts. Yeo has averaged 12.3 Tackles in his last 4 games.

Gold Coast v Geelong (MS)

Brayden Fiorini (122pts) found the ball with ease against Geelong at Metricon Stadium, he has scored 100pts or more in 6 of his last 7 games.

Tim Kelly (126pts) put in a strong performance against the Suns, Mitch Duncan continued his good form adding 118pts. Duncan has averaged 127.0pts from his last 5 games.

Richmond v Essendon (MCG)

Wet conditions didn’t hinder the Bachar Houli game in defence for the Tigers, he recorded 37 Disposals for a season high 144pts.

Zach Merrett continued his recent good form recording 30 Disposals & 8 Tackles for 117pts, Dylan Shiel (81pts) injured his Hamstring & will likely miss some time.

Melbourne v GWS Giants (MCG)

Max Gawn was the only Melbourne player to stand-up against the Giants, he recorded 25 Disposals, 8 Marks & 35 Hit Outs. Angus Brayshaw moved into the midfield in the second half & scored 53pts for a game total of 75pts.

Josh Kelly (135pts), Lachie Whitfield (120pts) & Tim Taranto (130pts) made a mess of the Demons, Stephen Coniglio received a leg cork early in the game and was put away early by the Giants which was understandable considering the large margin.

St Kilda v Carlton (MRVL)

Jack Billings (66pts) was shut down in the first half & was eventually moved forward, he found a little bit of the ball in the second half as the game opened up.

Sam Walsh (83pts) put together a nice second half to save his day, Patrick Cripps (88pts) was matched up against Jack Steele early & struggled to 88pts.

Fremantle v Brisbane (OS)

Nat Fyfe was enormous late in the game for the Dockers finishing with 120pts, it was a quiet day for David Mundy as he scored just 72pts.

Lachie Neale struggled against his former team scoring just 74pts, Dayne Zorko (99pts) was the best of a low scoring Lions team.
