AFL FANTASY ANALYSIS
The fantasy year for Dustin Martin in 2018 was one to forget, after the high of winning the Brownlow and putting up an excellent fantasy season in a Premiership year the fall from grace was tough for owners to watch.
Martin scored 100pts or more in 34.8% of games & 120pts or more from 4.3% of games in 2018, this was a significant regression compared to 2017.
Fantasy Impact: 2019 Rule Changes

The off-season should see Martin return to full fitness by Round 1, he clearly lost his explosiveness last season as a result of constant niggling injuries.
The role for Martin in 2018 was different compared to his outstanding season of 2017, he wasn’t used across Half-Back as much thus diminishing his Disposal average. Martin was used in attack more frequently in 2018 compared to 2017.
With Tom Lynch joining the Tigers Martin should see less Forward usage in 2019 which could result in a bounce back season, he is definitely worth a spot on your watch list.
