Zach Tuohy has undergone minor knee surgery that will delay his pre-season, described as a minor procedure for a clean up the extent of the surgery won’t keep him on the sidelines for long (via AFL.com.au).

A season of change ahead for Geelong

Tuohy is expected to resume light running next week.

Tuohy averaged 21.9 Disposals for Geelong last season, since joining the Cats at the end of the 2016 he has not missed a game through injury.

Tuohy has the longest consecutive game streak with 138 (Carlton & Geelong).

AFL FANTASY TAKE

Tuohy slightly regressed in 2018 averaging 80.6pts compared to 2017 (85.6pts), the latest injury news is not that concerning right now due to his previous excellent injury history.

Tuohy regularly puts up Disposal games in excess of 20 Disposals, unfortunately due to his low Tackle rate he does not hit that many ceiling games.

Tuohy averaged 82.6pts at Simonds Stadium last season including 86.2pts from his last 5 games, he averaged 79.4pts at all other venues.

There are likely better options in Defence for season long fantasy, however Tuohy should be highly considered in Draft due to his consistency.
