So we are exactly 100 days until Round 1 begins in the 2019 H&A season, we are also around 5-6 weeks away from AFL Fantasy & SuperCoach opening up for team selection. Fantasy Coaches are on the clock!
A day after the terrible injury news for Sam Docherty and the feeling is still pretty low, Sam was able to share his thoughts today.
The official AFL Fantasy podcast released some key prices for the 2019 season, the Traders discussed players such as Tom Mitchell, Dan Hannebery, Zach Merrett and unfortunately Sam Docherty prior to his injury.
As always, the Traders are well worth a listen to prepare for the upcoming season.

INJURY NEWS
Daniel Menzel has been sidelined after undergoing groin surgery last week, it is expected he will return to training in February.
“It’s been well documented that Dan had some issues with his groin this year so we wanted to get on top of it now rather than it potentially become an issue during next season” Sydney Head of Football, Charlie Gardiner.
Menzel averaged 58.9pts in AFL Fantasy & 68.0pts in SuperCoach in 2018.
He may provide an outlet for Luke Parker & Isaac Heeney to increase midfield usage when playing.

AFL FANTASY ANALYSIS
Kane Lambert again showed a little bit of promise last season but fantasy coaches are still waiting for that breakout season, he averaged 81.2pts during the H&A season with a high score of 122pts against Melbourne in Round 5.
Lambert scored 100pts or more in 22.7% of games & 120pts or more from 9.1% of games in 2018, this was comparable to 2017.

Richmond haven’t been a fantasy friendly team for quite some time now, the fantasy output for Lambert is likely restricted by his situation at the Tigers.
Richmond averaged 368.0 Disposals in the 2018 H&A season (Rank 13), the Tigers averaged 368.6 Disposals in the 2017 H&A season (Rank 15).
Lambert did increase his Disposal average to 22.5 in 2018 (2017: 21.5) but regressed in Tackles averaging 3.0 per game (2017: 4.6), hopefully both will trend in the right direction next season.
At this stage Lambert is a pass in season long AFL Fantasy but should be considered as a strong bench option in draft leagues, there is a potential upside in his game but that would require a complete game style shift from the Tigers.
