Round 2 is in the books, premium rookies mostly held up again this week and are providing early cash generation. Quite a few a premium players put up a decent number in Round 2 with the exception of a couple of notables (insert Stephen Coniglio & Isaac Heeney here).

Each week of the H&A season there will be a few key notes from each game that may provide some benefit to your AFL Fantasy decisions.

Article by @aflratingsPete

Richmond v Collingwood (MCG)

The start to the 2019 season for Adam Treloar (152pts) has been exceptional, he is averaging 36.5 Disposals from his first 2 games.

Jack Crisp (142pts) is also worth a mention, he was dominant across half-back finishing with 32 Disposals & 14 Marks.

Levi Greenwood shadowed Dustin Martin (57pts) through the middle of the ground, Dusty recorded 6 second half Disposals for a total of 18.

Sydney v Adelaide (SCG)

Issac Heeney (58pts) was carrying an injuring into the game according to John Longmire, that is why he played mostly forward on Friday night.

Sam Jacobs (63pts) spent the good part of 20min in the 3rd Qtr being assessed for a knee injury, he still recorded 40 Hit Outs which is a positive.

Essendon v St Kilda (MRVL)

Michael Hurley (103pts) recorded 23 Disposals & 14 Marks, Zach Merrett (99pts) was much better this week recording 28 Disposals.

Another slow start for Jack Billings (94pts) in Round 2, he scored 54pts in the second half for a decent return.

Port Adelaide v Carlton (AO)

Rain & Will Setterfield slowed down Tom Rockliff (115pts) in the second half, another monster week for Travis Boak (138pts) as he recorded 33 Disposals & 9 Tackles.

Sam Walsh (85pts) held his own again recording 25 Disposals.

Geelong v Melbourne (GMHBA)

Patrick Dangerfield (134pts) kept the scores ticking over even when he moved forward, he recorded 37 Disposals & 2 Goals.

Clayton Oliver (130pts) had a huge night against Geelong recording 44 Disposals, Angus Brayshaw (117pts) recorded 33 Disposals despite suffering a leg cork midway through the game.

West Coast v GWS Giants (OS)

For those carrying Jack Petruccelle (74pts) on the bench or even on the ground he recorded 13 Disposals, 9 Marks & 1 Goal, his junk time was superb & job security now is high.

Mark Hutchings went to Stephen Coniglio (50pts) at the 1st bounce and it didn’t get much better than that, Coniglio finished with just 20 Disposals & 1 Tackle.

Nth Melbourne v Brisbane (MRVL)

Brisbane pretty much shut down Shaun Higgins (96pts), Aaron Hall (106pts) & Jared Polec (89pts) in the second half.

Lachie Neale (146pts) was outstanding recording 43 Disposals, Daniel Rich (107pts) is encroaching on the Alex Witherden (75pts) kick-ins.

Hawthorn v Western Bulldogs (MCG)

Jaeger O’Meara (122pts) was outstanding again this week recording 30 Disposals & 6 Tackles, Liam Shiels & Shaun Burgoyne suffered hamstring injuries which should increase the midfield usage for James Cousins (89pts) & James Worpel (97pts) significantly.

Jack Macrae (124pts) recorded 36 Disposals & 7 Marks with ease, he’s in great form again early in the 2019 season.

Gold Coast v Fremantle (MS)

Another stock standard game for Jarrod Witts (93pts), he recorded 16 Disposals & 35 Hit Outs against Fremantle.
