Despite being named in the 26 player squad for Melbourne Max Gawn (Ankle) remains doubtful for Round 16, Brayden Preuss has been named on an extended bench for the Demons & will likely replace Gawn if he is not available.
Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin wasn’t overly optimistic that Gawn would play this week due to the residual swelling in his ankle but he was willing to give him extra time to recover, the Demons have their final training session prior to Round 16 on Saturday morning.
“We’re going to give him right to the end.. we’re certainly not going to risk him because he’s such an important player for us” Simon Goodwin on Max Gawn today.
Tom Rockliff returns for Port Adelaide following his 57 Disposals in the SANFL last weekend, Justin Westhoff will also make a return for the Power.
Scott Lycett will be solo Ruck again for Port Adelaide, he has averaged 41.5 Hit Outs in the last 2 weeks.
