Jack Steven has been traded to Geelong, he has played 183 games for St Kilda after being selected at Pick 42 in the 2007 AFL Draft.
“Ultimately, we were comfortable in facilitating a trade that was able to accommodate Jack’s wishes, but also provide the club with a level of compensation that allowed us to move forward in this trade period.” General Manager of Football Simon Lethlean.
Steven averaged 19.0 Disposals, 2.7 Marks & 3.3 Tackles from 7 games in 2019, he played in 97.7% of games between 2015-18.

AFL FANTASY TAKE
Opinion will likely be divided early on the move of Jack Steven to Geelong, as the 2020 pre-season unfolds we will likely get a better indication of his potential & role at the Cats.
Now that Kelly has been traded to the Eagles there is a decent opening in the Cats midfield in 2020, Geelong were ranked 12th averaging 366.1 Disposals in the 2019 H&A season (GMHBA Stadium: 375.1).
Steven averaged 76.0pts from 7 games in 2019, there is genuine upside to that average in 2020.
Steven may be an option based on starting price in classic, a definite selection in draft if he completes a full pre-season.
