Zak Jones has been traded to St Kilda, he has played 90 games for Sydney after being selected at Pick 15 in the 2013 AFL Draft.
“Zak expressed to us his desire to get back home to Melbourne during this trade period so we’re happy we were able to reach a mutually beneficial trade with St Kilda,” Swans Head of Football Charlie Gardiner.
Jones averaged 22.4 Disposals, 4.0 Marks & 3.9 Tackles in 17 games for the Swans in 2019, he has played in 78.9% of games since the beginning of the 2016 H&A season.
“I know our coaching group is really excited to have Zak as part of our team next season, and we think our fans will love the aggression he brings.” Saints List Manager James Gallagher.

AFL FANTASY TAKE
Jones averaged a career season high 82.8pts in 2019 where he was used in midfield/wing/small defensive roles by the Swans, it appears likely Jones will be primarily used in a small half-back type role at the Saints in 2020.
Slot Jones into your watch-list over summer, however any upside potential may be negated if he is used in a lock down defensive type role.
Jones is unlikely to be a consideration in classic unless a premium fantasy scoring role eventuates, he’s a mid-late round selection in draft.
