Fantasy: Round 1 Crows v Swans CBA’s

Rory Sloane recorded a team high 73.1% CBA’s in Round 1, Matt Crouch & Brodie Smith were used at 50.0%, Smith spent the entire 3rd Qtr off the ground with a chest injury. Smith was the No.1 ranked Adelaide player at half time recording 11 CBA’s, he recorded just 2 in the final Qtr. Paul Seedsman started 8 of 11 CBA’s in the first half, Brad Crouch started 7 of 10 CBA’s also in the first half.

The Crows were crushed at centre clearances by the Swans in Round 1, Adelaide recorded just 5 for the game while Sydney recorded 20.

Adelaide coach Matthew Nicks opted to run 7 players through CBA’s for the game, considering the Crows were soundly beating in Round 1 in that part of the ground there is some chance that will be corrected at Round 2.

Sydney

Luke Parker was the No.1 ranked player at Sydney recording 84.6% CBA’s in Round 1, Josh Kennedy & Oliver Florent followed closely at 76.9%. James Rowbottom was the fourth player used at CBA’s, he was used at a rate of 61.5%.

Sydney held the advantage against Adelaide in the centre square so there was certainly no need for Swans coach John Longmire to mix it up, the Swans do like to run minimal players at CBA’s and have been consistent from the start of pre-season using just 4 players at a high rate.
