“We decided the best course of action for Ryan, was a minor clean-out of his knee, to remove this loose body and prevent it from causing any ongoing issues,”

“We’ll allow the knee to settle and reassess it in the coming days, but all going well, we are optimistic that he will be available to return to play within three to four weeks.” Power Head of Medical Services, Tim O’Leary.

Burton has averaged 15.0 Disposals, 4.5 Marks & 1.5 Tackles from 2 games in 2020.

AFL FANTASY TAKE

The injury to Burton will open up a spot in the Power defensive group, Ollie Wines continues to build his fitness but he’s not a like for like replacement.

Dan Houston could slide back into a defensive role which could impact his fantasy output, which may also impact Darcy Byrne-Jones.

Burton isn’t considered an option in season long fantasy.
