Archie Perkins will look to establish his game as a midfielder in 2021, he was selected at pick 9 in the 2020 AFL Draft.
Perkins averaged 14.2 Disposals in the 2019 NAB League, he also averaged 5.2 Contested Possessions.
Essendon GM of List & Recruiting Adrian Dodoro was on record last Friday saying Perkins would play as a midfielder, if he completes a good pre-season he may be in the frame to play early next season but there wouldn’t be a rush.

Perkins can play as an outside midfielder, he can also be a marking option forward hitting the scoreboard.
It is worth keeping a close eye on the progress of Perkins in the pre-season for a potential early debut, if not it’s likely we will see him at some stage during the 2021 H&A season.

Perkins is an option in AFL Fantasy classic to select at Round 1 if a debut is confirmed although his salary will be elevated based on his high draft position, he’s likely a pass in 10 team standard draft leagues.
