Taylor Adams will be sidelined for an extended period, he has injured his hamstring at training.
Collingwood are likely to take a very cautious approach with Adams, Magpies media stating this morning ‘the medical department will monitor his progress over the coming weeks’.

There is no time frame for a return to training for Adams, the Magpies are likely to provide an update as his recovery progresses.Â
The exact status for Round 1 is also unknown.
Only a small hiccup after a really strong training block. No stress here 🙌 https://t.co/A1RT7JgJPk

AFL FANTASY TAKE
Adams averaged 90.6pts in 2020, he scored a season high 120pts against Port Adelaide in Round 18.Â
The hamstring injury isn’t great timing for Adams or Collingwood, with the Magpies running short on high end talent through the midfield this season injury concerns place even more pressure on that group.
From a fantasy perspective there may be more opportunities available if Adams misses the start of the season, it also likely increases the usage for Scott Pendlebury as a pure midfielder.

Adams is likely now a pass in AFL Fantasy classic at Round 1, he also slides several spots in 10 team standard draft leagues.Â
