Mitch Duncan is questionable for Round 1, he is recovering from his second calf strain this pre-season via @cleary_mitch (AFL.com.au).
“He’s got a calf that is going to slow him down for the next few weeks,” Chris Scott via AFL.com.au.
Duncan is not expected to participate in pre-season competitive games, he will likely build hit fitness base throughout the remainder of the pre-season.

“I’d suspect he might miss a bit of the pre-season games which might leave him in a slower position to start the season.” Scott added.

AFL FANTASY TAKE
Duncan averaged a team high 88.7pts from 20 games in 2020, he scored a season high 123pts.
The injury interrupted pre-season isn’t ideal for Duncan, Geelong will likely have a zero risk policy again in 2021.
Duncan was used at 31.9% of team centre bounces last season, he was used a 63.1% of centre bounces in the 2020 Finals series.

The Cats added Shaun Higgins & Isaac Smith in the off-season, we are also likely to see Cooper Stephens this season run through that midfield.
Geelong snr coach Chris Scott isn’t shy about spreading the load through the middle of the ground in any H&A season.
Duncan is likely now a pass in AFL Fantasy classic to start the season, it’s still worth monitoring his health status due to his ability to produce very good fantasy numbers. There may be an opportunity throughout the season to target him with initial low ownership.Â
Duncan likely slides a few spots in 10 team standard draft leagues.Â
