Injury Update: Zach Sproule

Zach Sproule is set to miss the start of the 2022 season, he underwent surgery on his left shoulder recently via Peter Ryan.

He underwent a shoulder reconstruction on his right shoulder at the end of the 2021 season, Sproule is set to miss a significant portion of the start of the year. 

GWS are likely to provide an update in the upcoming period.

Sproule averaged 8.6 Disposals, 2.7 Marks & 2.6 Tackles from 10 games in 2021.

The Giants play Sydney to open their season at Accor Stadium on Saturday March 19.

Fantasy Impact: Zach Sproule averaged 46.1pts from 10 games in 2021, he scored a season high 76pts in Round 21 against Geelong. 

He was used in utility type role to finish off the 2021 season, he was able to hit the scoreboard in the 2021 Elimination Final against Sydney finishing with 2 Goals. 

His early season absence will provide opportunity for others. 

Toby Greene is also missing from the opening games of the 2022 season due to suspension.

Sproule is a pass in season long fantasy, the injury setback isn’t ideal plus the scoring has been inconsistent early in his career.
