Contract Update: Jack Macrae

Jack Macrae has given the strongest indication yet that he will sign a new contract at the Western Bulldogs.

The 27 year old midfielder is out of contract at the end of the year. 

Macrae was appointed vice captain this week, he provided insight into his feelings surrounding his contract situation.

“I think it’s no secret that everyone knows how much I love the club and how proud I am to represent this club every week.”

“I obviously want to retire as a Western Bulldogs player.”

“I can’t be any more black and white than that, I want to finish my career here.”

“I’ll leave it to the manager and leave it there.” He said. 

Macrae has played 185 games for the Bulldogs, he was selected at pick 6 in the 2012 AFL Draft.
