Ned Reeves and Max Lynch are in a battle for the No.1 ruck spot at Hawthorn.Â
Hawthorn Head of Football Rob McCartney provided insight on SEN this week into the Ben McEvoy role this year which opens the door for an opportunity to claim the Hawks top ruck position.Â

“I’m watching again as we prepare for Collingwood and I see that Ben is going to probably start the year as a player that plays a little bit more forward and then gives one of those two young ruckmen a chop out through the game.”

“What’s become really noticeable is those two are going head to head and they really both want that first ruck spot in terms of (Ned) Reeves & Max (Lynch) and that competition for spots has been really really good for us in terms of pushing along that development.”
