Jack Hayes played with a leg injury in the SANFL Grand Final.
Another player landed on his leg at training in the days leading up to the SANFL Grand Final, he completed the game consuming pain relief but was in significant pain the following morning.
Hayes made his debut in Round 1 for St Kilda.
He provide further details on his 2021 SANFL grand final week via SEN on Tuesday.

“Wednesday night training someone landed on it a bit awkwardly, didn’t want to go in for scans or anything fearing the worst.”
“I was able to take a few painkillers, the adrenaline takes it out of your mind.”
“After the next morning it was pretty sore.”
“It wasn’t broken, it was just some bone bruising and then some bruising in the muscle as well.”
“It wasn’t very pleasant.” he said.
