Injury Update: Jack Billings

AFL Injury News: Jack Billings has undergone surgery.

He underwent a back procedure recently according to AFLcomau’s Callum Twomey.

It is understood he won’t be heavily impacted when pre-season begins later in the year.

St Kilda will likely provide an update during his rehabilitation program. 

Billings averaged 17.0 disposals, 5.8 marks and 2.4 tackles from 8 games in 2022.

Fantasy Impact: Jack Billings averaged 75.4pts from 8 games in a severely injury interrupted 2022 season, he scored a season high 98pts in Round 16 against Carlton. 

Billings did average 94.8pts in the 5 games leading up to his shortened final game of the season in Round 19.

He failed to score 100pts in a game in 2022.

Billings may be an option in AFL Fantasy classic based on his 2023 pre-season campaign, his role needs to be clearly identified prior to Round 1. 

Any type of forward usage will likely deliver inconsistent scoring. 

He’s likely an option mid-late rounds in standard draft leagues.
