“We identified we needed more key position support, and Daniel’s attributes suit the way Craig and our coaching group want to play,”
“He has the ability to play at both ends of the ground and he has been a more than adequate second ruck this year.” Collingwood GM of Football Graham Wright.

Fantasy Impact: Dan McStay averaged 63.6pts from 22 games in 2022 at Brisbane, he scored a season high 111pts in an elimination final against Richmond.
He averaged 12.0 disposals, 5.3 marks, 1.8 tackles & 1.1 goals.
McStay scored fewer than 80pts in 68.2% of games.
His move to Collingwood will add flexibility to the lineup, he’ll likely play mostly forward with a secondary ruck role but can also play in defence if required.

McStay is a pass in season long fantasy, his scoring volatility won’t be suitable for the long game format.
He’s likely a late round speculative option at best in standard draft leagues.
