He was selected at pick 19 in the 2016 AFL Draft and will enter the 2023 AFL season at the age of 25.
English averaged 100.1pts from 16 games last season which included an average of 111.4pts from his opening 5 games, he did have injury and illness setbacks last season.

He should see high usage again as the clear No.1 ruck option in 2023, Stefan Martin has retired and new recruit Rory Lobb likely plays the majority of the secondary ruck role while Jordon Sweet likely remains as a pure back-up if required.
English was used at 84.4% of centre bounces in games which he played last season.
Despite the injury and illness situations last year English was able to produce some quality fantasy scores, a clear run in 2023 should provide an opportunity to be a top ranked ruck.

A watch over pre-season on the secondary ruck situation that could impact English would be highly recommended.
