Lachie Neale

Neale is one of a number on premium midfield options that will come under serious considering in the upcoming period. His scoring rate is well under what we are used to seeing and the drop in salary has become quite noteworthy. Obviously there has been movement in the Brisbane midfield this season with Will Ashcroft and Josh Dunkley joining the club, Hugh McCluggage has also been impacted with his role and scoring output. There may need to be more time required to assess the new scoring output for Neale.

Wait and see.

Brad Crouch

It has been a very solid start to the season for Brad Crouch averaging 30.5 disposal, he has averaged 33.0 disposals in the last 2 games without Jack Steele. His inside midfield usage should remain strong enough even when Steele returns from injury.
The current salary for Crouch is high enough that it should keep ownership supressed with many also waiting to obtain more information on specific midfield role, data and scoring output when Jack Steele returns.

A unique option with a significant salary.

Kysaiah Pickett

Pickett returned from suspension last weekend with his inaccuracy in front of goal hindering his fantasy output. Expect the sprinkling of centre bounces to continue along with his ability to move up the ground in general play. His salary is still appealing enough for many to consider. The scores could still be volatile at times if his midfield usage is low and conditions aren’t favourable to hit the scoreboard but that should be offset by high-ceiling opportunities.

An option.

Noah Anderson

Any time Touk Miller is targeted by opposition teams that could provide an opportunity for Gold Coast to shift the ball movement more through Noah Anderson. Despite a slow start to the season Anderson was a fantasy monster last week recording 38 disposals for 159pts. Now obviously this isn’t an expectation moving forward for his scoring output but it does provide a reminder of his high scoring ability. The role for Anderson is very strong and isn’t likely to change anytime soon, his current salary is definitely appealing for many.

A consideration.

Tim Kelly

Kelly has recorded 30+ disposals in his last three games and has a very juicy breakeven heading into Round 5. He is now the leader of the West Coast midfield with continual injury/management concerns for other experienced mids such as Luke Shuey and Elliot Yeo. The Eagles are in a rebuild mode which could result in poor team performances but that may actually be an opportunity for Kelly to be let go by opposition teams to accumulate disposals at a very high-rate.

A consideration.
