Will Day
Day has been moved into the midfield this season and provided a solid scoring rate. With James Sicily missing last week he also moved behind the ball when required further enhancing his fantasy scoring opportunities. Hawthorn have also been a disposal heavy team for several weeks now which provides additional opportunities for Day with ability to cover the ground with his athleticism. Day has scored fewer than 80pts in 16.7% of games this season. He has scored 100pts or more in 33.3% of games.Â
An option.
Callum Mills
Mills was solid last week at the SCG in his return game but was managed out of the game at 3QT as a sub. The game result was certainly known at this time which provided an opportunity to manage his minutes. Mills will continue to build his fitness over the upcoming weeks and should see decent usage through the midfield but also has the ability to be used in multiple positions. The salary for Mills is quite appealing right now and could be even more so over the next couple of weeks. Once Mills completes game with no interruptions he should be a consideration but keep in mind the ability for John Longmire to adjusted his role weekly to suit the team needs.Â
On the radar.

Sam FlandersÂ
Flanders was impressive in his return to the team last week playing through the midfield which included solid usage at centre bounces. It has been an indifferent season for Flanders dealing mostly with injuries and form. Touk Miller is on the radar to return which could directly impact the usage through the midfield for Flanders. Inconsistent scoring output is likely unless a strong midfield role. Â
Better options available.
Marcus Bontempelli
The week off for Bontempelli should have him refreshed to attack the final games of the 2023 H&A season. He has scored 100pts or more in 71.4% of games and 120pts or more in 21.4% of games this season. The midfield and centre bounce usage should be quite strong for the remainder of the season, his ability to win plenty of ball inside and outside the contest should provide a decent scoring output.
One to consider.Â
Sam Walsh
Walsh was moved back to an inside mid role in Round 14 and the results for Carlton were excellent. He adds a much needed speed dynamic to the midfield rotation at centre bounces and stoppages. A lot will rely on senior coach Michael Voss recognising the impact Walsh had as an inside midfielder and sticking with that usage. Walsh has an excellent high-ceiling game when opportunities through the midfield are available. He underwent back surgery in the off-season and has worked his way well into the season with his fitness now.Â
