AFLRATINGS NEWS: Hayden Young says he’s really refreshed in his new midfield role.Â
While Young said on Tuesday there is no specific plan as yet for his role in 2024 he added that there is a natural progression to becoming a ball-winning midfielder.Â

Senior coach Justin Longmuir moved Young into the midfield late in the 2023 AFL season and is completing his first pre-season with in that group.Â
Young said there is much to learn over pre-season in his midfield role and would like to find balance in the role.Â
Young averaged 22.4 disposals, 4.8 marks, and 3.9 tackles from 22 games in 2023.
