Harley Reid Role

AFLRATINGS NEWS: Harley Reid is set to be partly played in defence to start his AFL career.

West Coast senior coach Adam Simpson declared on Monday that Reid will spend a little bit of time in defence while also playing through the midfield.

Simpson also added that they are still working on Reid’s specific role as he also has presence as a forward.

Simpson was adamant that they will need to settle Reid into a role as he prepares for his first AFL season.  

He concluded his update on Reid by saying he’ll more than likely play in defence with a little bit of midfield usage. 

Reid was selected at pick 1 in the 2023 AFL Draft by West Coast.
