AFLRATINGS NEWS: Zach Merrett was assessed for an ankle concern on Friday.
He left the ground just after the siren sounded ending the 2nd quarter and did not return.

Essendon assistant coach Daniel Giansiracusa said the concern for Merrett was just a rolled ankle and that it was planned for him only to play a half.
Merrett completed a light running session during the main break.
