Injury Update: Steven May

AFLRATINGS NEWS: Melbourne defender Steven May was assessed for a rib concern on Friday night.

He came from the ground in Q2 and was subbed out of the game at HT.

May was taken to hospital for precautionary reasons. 

He has been diagnosed with fractured ribs (via Melbourne on Saturday). 

“Pleasingly, there are no internal or underlying issues related to the injury. Steven has since been discharged from the hospital and is recovering at home.”

“Steven’s well-being is our main priority, and we will support him through his recovery.” Melbourne GM of AFL Performance Alan Richardson

There is no current timeline for a return.
