AFLRATINGS NEWS: Colby McKercher could be set for a role change next season.Â
After having spent most of the season playing in defence McKercher was moved to a mid/fwd role last week.Â
Nth Melbourne senior coach Alastair Clarkson said it was an opportunity to see McKercher in a different role in the second half of the game against the Bulldogs.Â

Clarkson added that McKercher won’t play across half-back for the remainder of his career and is hoping to evolve his game as a midfield-forward type player.Â
McKercher has been outstanding in his first year after being selected at pick 2 in the 2023 AFL Draft.
He has averaged 24.1 disposals, 4.3 marks and 1.7 tackles from 15 games in 2024, he has averaged 5.7 kick-ins per game.Â
