Senior coach Chris Scott said following the game there was enough uncertainty throughout Q3 for Holmes to be off the ground.

Holmes underwent a further assessment at 3QT and started on the ground in Q4.

He returned to the bench after a couple of minutes on the ground and was eventually subbed out of the game.

Geelong will likely provide an update if required in the upcoming period.
