After being selected at pick 5 in the 2024 AFL Draft Ashcroft has been recovering from a shoulder injury throughout his first pre-season.

Speaking this week Ashcroft said he was hopeful of spending time through the Brisbane midfield this season but would probably spend more time in a half-forward or wing role.Â
Ashcroft averaged 25.5 disposals, 4.0 marks and 1.0 tackle in the 2024 AFL U18 National Championships.Â
