Max Holmes Role

AFLRATINGS NEWS: There has been an update on the role for Max Holmes in 2025. 

He is set to play multiple roles again in 2025 after splitting time through the midfield and defence last season. 

Holmes was used at 32.2% of team centre bounces in 2024, he exceeded 50.0% usage in 9 of 25 games  (36.0%).

Speaking on Thursday Geelong assistant coach Steven King said that Holmes performed well around the ball and was dominant across half-back last season. 

King added that Holmes will play a couple of different roles this season. 

Holmes averaged 24.2 disposals, 5.6 marks and 3.0 tackles from 25 games in 2024.
