Marshall signed a five-year contract in 2022, he is out of contract at the end of the 2027 season.

The 29-year-old has played 156 games for St Kilda, he was selected at pick 10 in the 2016 AFL Rookie draft by St Kilda.

With Tom De Koning’s upcoming move to St Kilda via free agency Marshall’s playing minutes at the ruck position are uncertain and will likely change.

Geelong’s interest in Marshall appear to be genuine with Rhys Stanley nearing the end of his career while the likes of Toby Conway and/or Mitch Edwards may not be ready to carry the load of a full season at the ruck position.
