AFLRATINGS NEWS: The 2026 AFL Fixture was released on Thursday.
Opening Round will remain for the 2026 season which will result in early season byes impacting fantasy.Â
Sydney and Carlton will open the season at the SCG on Thursday night March 5th.
St Kilda and Collingwood will be an addition to Opening Round this year with their game scheduled for the MCG on Sunday night March 8th. Â

All games have been scheduled up to an including Round 15, the AFL will announce the remaining scheduled games throughout the season including an expected late release for Round 24.Â
Adelaide, Hawthorn & Geelong have the most number of Thursday/Friday night games with 8 scheduled through the first 15 rounds.Â
Carlton and the Western Bulldogs have 7 games each scheduled over the same period.
West Coast and Fremantle are not scheduled to play in Opening Round, there will also be no game scheduled in Perth in Round 1 due to a venue conflict at Optus Stadium. Both clubs will play home games in Round 2.Â
The number of Sunday night games has been reduced compared to last season, there will only be 6 games scheduled up to and including Round 15 down from 9 last season. Â
The mid-season bye structure will remain for the 2026 season with teams on their break between rounds 12-16. Â
