Injury Update: Mason Redman

AFLRATINGS NEWS: Essendon defender Mason Redman was assessed for a left knee concern on Sunday.

He came from the ground in Q1 and did not return to the game.

Essendon confirmed the knee issue throughout the game for Redman.

He has undergone scans to determine the severity of the injury.

Redman is expected to undergo surgery on a torn meniscus (via Mitch Cleary on Monday). 

“It is a frustrating setback but ‘Red’ is as tough as they come, and we know he will attack his rehab with his usual professionalism and commitment.”

“We all look forward to seeing him back out there once he’s fully recovered.” Essendon GM of Football Daniel McPherson.

Essendon next play Nth Melbourne on Saturday March 28 at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne.
