DFS Strat: Round 5 Saturday

📈 Joel Selwood (MB $8,100, DS $14,850)

Selwood has started the 2018 H&A season in reasonable form averaging 104.8pts per game, he currently has a +10.8pt differential compared to the 2017 season (Incl. Finals). Selwood is averaging 29.0 Disposals per game this year with a season high 39 against Melbourne in Round 1, In his last 2 games against Port Adelaide he has averaged 30.5 Disposals and an impressive 128.0pts.

With the names of Dangerfield & Duncan attracting most of the attention at Geelong for many DFS players Selwood can be under owned at times, taking into consideration his 101.5pt average in all travel games last year he should provide at least a decent base.

In what is likely to be a highly contested game against Port Adelaide rostering Selwood should be a decent play, it is recommended sprinkling him across a few of your line-ups on Saturday.

🎯 DFS Projections & Targets: Round 5 Swans v Crows

📊 2018 AFL Fantasy Team Points

⏱ Josh Kennedy (MB $7,600, DS $12,050)

It will be no secret that the West Coast Forward line will be quite chalky on Saturday, Carlton have conceded a league worst 109.5pts per game this season. Key forwards have attacked the Blues so far in 2018, Tom Lynch (8 Goals, 139pts) in Round 2 & Ben Brown (5 Goals, 115pts) last week were able to easily exceed their salary expectations.

After missing the first 3 games through injury Kennedy quickly settled in for 5 Goals against Gold Coast (81pts) at Optus Stadium last week, what was clearly noteworthy were the comments he made in a mid-week press conference referencing limited game time in the short term:

“It’s about 90 minutes that I’m playing. I’ll probably spend some longer stints on the bench going forward” Josh Kennedy

It is definitely worth throwing Kennedy in to a few line-ups on Saturday, but the recommendation is not to go overboard as his ceiling may be limited.
