Playing DFS in pre-season games does come with a higher level of risk compared to the H&A season, players that are on limited minutes can set line-ups on fire instantly.

Identifying players that will play high game minutes is a crucial element in creating line-ups, second tier players attempting to push for selection in Round 1 can sometimes provide a better alternative than starting those high volume players.

Week 2 of the JLT Series should see the majority of teams set up with a view to Round 1 of the H&A season, premium players should see a bump in minutes played as well as aligning with primary roles.

🎯 Targets: Cats v Bombers

📊 Sam Menegola GEE (DS $11,000 MID/FWD, MB $8,900 MID)

Menegola played just 50% game time last week for a staggering 85pts, his starting position was mainly on a wing at centre bounces & his role was pushing into defence as an outlet kick all the way through to the forward line

It is likely Menegola will see an increase in minutes in JLT 2 with Round 1 just 2 weeks away, his role will likely be similar to last week and with a higher game intensity his ability to score points at the same rate as JLT 1 will also be reduced.

📊 David Zaharakis ESS (DS $11,000 MID, MB $7,800 MID)

Essendon have a variety of premium midfielders at different stages of preparation for the upcoming season, one player that appears to be fully prepared is Zaharakis who attended 10 centre bounces last week & started the wing on 16 occasions.

Zaharakis did score at a very low 0.65 points per minute last week in JLT 1 which should reduce ownership this week due to recency bias, he recorded 25 Disposals or more in 70.6% of games last season which could result in a nice bounce back spot against a team that conceded 434 Disposals last week.
