Playing DFS in pre-season games does come with a higher level of risk compared to the H&A season, players that are on limited minutes can set line-ups on fire instantly.

Identifying players that will play high game minutes is a crucial element in creating line-ups, second tier players attempting to push for selection in Round 1 can sometimes provide a better alternative than starting those high volume players.

Week 2 of the JLT Series should see the majority of teams set up with a view to Round 1 of the H&A season, premium players should see a bump in minutes played as well as aligning with primary roles.

🎯 Targets: Giants v Crows

📊 Stephen Coniglio GWS (DS $11,000 MID, MB $9,700 MID)

Coniglio found plenty of inside ball last week recording 35 Disposals & 10 Tackles for the Giants, he also managed to find plenty of space on the outside.

Last season Coniglio was one of the higher volume players in the AFL, he recorded 25 Disposals or more in a whopping 87% of games.

Callan Ward, Josh Kelly & Jacob Hopper are all absent from this game which should narrow the focus down to Coniglio & Tim Taranto to assume most of the important midfield minutes.

Coniglio will likely be chalk on both platforms, the Crows are fielding a strong line-up but that will likely not impact Coniglio as he averaged 116.2pts against Top 6 teams last season.

📊 Rory Sloane ADE (DS $11,000 MID, MB $8,300 MID)

After a very healthy pre-season Sloane hit JLT 1 in top form scoring 110pts, he scored at a rate of 1.64pts per minute which was ranked 1st for the Crows.

It is unlikely the Giants will utilise a heavy run with role against Sloane but keep in mind it is possible, he would likely be the first player targeted in the Crows midfield.

Sloane will likely be highly owned on both platforms, if he were to score at the same rate as last week fading him could be problematic in attempting to secure a high tourney finish.
