AFL Fantasy Game Notes: Round 2

Shout out to Liam Picken who retired today, originally rookie listed at the Bulldogs he was a pivotal player in the winning 2016 Grand Final scoring 106pts in AFL Fantasy & 93pts in SuperCoach.

Round 2 Injuries

Steven May will miss Round 3 with a groin injury, he is likely a short term out anywhere between 1-2 weeks which could open the door again for Marty Hore.

Back in JLT 2 Issac Heeney injured his ankle in the opening minutes, it turns out that Heeney hasn’t fully recovered from that injury and has been playing more forward as a result.

Here are two quotes from Logmire, firstly in the Round 2 post game presser & secondly today.

“(Isaac) Heeney was a bit injured.. he had a bit of a sore ankle from last week.. you’d expect he’d be a bit better next week (8 Day break)” John Longmire.

“Isaac (Heeney) has had a bit of a sore ankle for a few weeks (JLT 2) he’s just tweaked that a couple of times.. at the start of the week he won’t be doing a lot.. back end of the week we certainly hope he trains & is able to put his hand up to play” John Longmire.

The status for Heath Grundy remains questionable for Round 3, if he is out Callum Mills may indirectly remain in defence this week as a result.

AFL Fantasy Team Points: Round 2

Karl Amon will miss the next 6 weeks with a knee injury, Ollie Wines (Shoulder) is on the verge of a return which could impact the scoring of Travis Boak & Tom Rockliff.

Josh Caddy (Ankle) is expected to play some game time this week, a decision will be made later in the week whether that is at AFL or VFL level.

Bachar Houli will likely miss Round 3 with a hamstring injury, he did not play in Round 2 after suffering tightness in the season opener against Carlton.
