Adelaide Ruck Sam Jacobs has been ruled out of the Round 3 game against Geelong on Thursday night at the Adelaide Oval, Jacobs sustained a knee injury in Round 2 with a return date not yet known at this stage.
Geelong Forward/Midfielder Gary Ablett will play in Round 3 coming off a 5 day break, Defender Jack Henry is out with a hamstring injury with Lachie Henderson set to replace him on Thursday night.
Carlton Forward Charlie Curnow sustained a knee injury in Round 2, he is expected to miss at least 2 weeks.

Essendon Defender Cale Hooker remains out of the team for Round 3, he is in the final stages of recovery with a return to playing footy likely next week.
GWS Midfielder Josh Kelly will play his first game for the year in Round 3, small Forward Toby Greene will likely miss again according to Leon Cameron.
We’ll probably err on the cautious side & give Toby Greene another week.. That being said he’ll probably come out and try and train tomorrow to put his hand up. – Leon Cameron.
GWS Ruck Shane Mumford is available for selection this week, Midfielder Callan Ward is expected to be available in Round 4.
AFL Fantasy Game Notes: Round 2
Gold Coast Midfielder George Horlin-Smith (Back) remains Questionable for Round 3 after he was a late withdrawal in Round 2, Corey Ellis is set to miss 4-6 weeks with an ankle injury.
Ollie Wines looks set to play in Round 3, Tom Rockliff was optimistic today.
Ollie (Wines) trained really well today, I imagine he’s ready to go – Tom Rockliff.
West Coast Midfielder Andrew Gaff returns from suspension this week, Willie Rioli will miss a further 5 weeks with a foot injury. Liam Duggan will also miss this week for the Eagles with a knee injury.
Melbourne small Forward Jeff Garlett is expected to be available for selection this week, if he plays at AFL level that may impact Jay Lockhart.

Western Bulldogs Half-Back Jason Johannisen could return in Round 3, he has completed his recovery from an ankle injury.
