GAME & OWNERSHIP THEORY
GWS will be without two key players for the Saturday Preliminary Final, Lachie Whitfield (Disposal Ave: 27.8) & Toby Greene (Disposal Ave: 23.4) will both miss.
As a result of the GWS crucial omissions Collingwood are currently -22.5 favourites, the Magpies are a heavy disposal team & if the current betting line plays out a team stack with the majority of Collingwood players will likely be optimal.
The price tags for Brodie Grundy on Saturday are at the top end, he will likely need to be jammed in considering the more than favourable match-up against Shane Mumford. It is still worthwhile having a sprinkling of Mumford shares if your are multi entering GPP’s, this will allow an additional high disposal option to be rostered with the added bonus of creating unique line-ups.
Taylor Adams has been solid for the Magpies averaging 106.7pts from his last 6 games, keep in mind the potential for Matt deBoer to run with him on Saturday.
The Giants rotated just 5 players through CBA’s (Centre Bounce Attendances) last week, with the omission of Greene there will be at least 1 player that will see an increase on Saturday.
Zac Williams did see an increase in midfield usage earlier this year when the Giants were thin for options due to injuries, keep in mind also the omission of Whitfield & what that could do to the Giants backline if Williams increased his midfield usage. There are plenty of opportunities to take advantage of here.
Jeremy Cameron will likely be a play in a Giants win scenario & probably a fade in a losing scenario, he averaged 99.8pts in winning games & 69.1pts in losing games in the 2019 H&A season.
2019 Win Percentage vs Top 8
