Melbourne forward Kade Chandler fractured his wrist at training earlier this week, as a result he underwent surgery on Monday night.
Chandler will likely be sidelined for an extended period of time, according to Melbourne Media he will resume running shortly however will not participate in full training for 6-8 weeks.
Chandler has played just 1 game at AFL level for the Demons, he recorded 7 Disposals, 2 Marks & 9 Tackles against Sydney in Round 22 last season.

Considering the positive health of the Melbourne playing list over the pre-season Chandler was likely on the outside looking in early in 2020, this injury is a further setback in an attempt to find his way back into the AFL team.
