Harley Bennell has suffered yet another setback according to reports this morning, he sustained a strained calf at training this week with Melbourne.

It is not known the seriousness or length of time Bennell will be sidelined at this stage, the extent of the injury will likely be confirmed by Melbourne in the coming days.
Bennell is currently unsigned & was hoping to be selected via the Supplemental Selection Period (SSP), the signing period closes in March prior to the 2020 AFL season commencing.
Bennell has played 83 games over his career at Fremantle & Gold Coast, he has a career average of 21.7 Disposals from 83 games.

The news isn’t great for those looking at starting Bennell in AFL Classic, his Round 1 salary would have attracted a high level of ownership.
Bennell has a career average of 82.5pts, he averaged a career season high 92.0pts in his final year at Gold Coast in 2015.
