Hawthorn defender Blake Hardwick is set to miss an extended period after sustaining an injury to a muscle in his chest, Hardwick has been a crucial part of the backline for the Hawks and his absence will create an opportunity for perhaps a young defender in the early rounds.
Hardwick will undergo surgery, he is set to miss 3 months.
“Unfortunately, Dimma collided with another player in a contest in our most recent game against the Saints and he has ruptured his pectoral muscle. He requires surgery and that will likely be a 12-week injury.” Hawthorn Physical Performance Manager Luke Boyd.
