Carlton has put a line through the 2020 season for key forward Charlie Curnow, he suffered a set back in his recovery from knee surgery with scans recently revealing a hairline stress fracture however further surgery was not required.
“From a coaching point of view we’re going to plan for the year without him & I think mentally that’s where he’s at” Blues coach David Teague on Friday.
Specialist Sport & Exercise Physician Dr Peter Larkins stated in an interview on SEN on Friday that the “realistic time frame” for Charlie Curnow would be a “6 month process for rehab”.
Curnow now has time to focus on his recovery in time for the 2021 season.
Curnow averaged 12.3 Disposals, 4.5 Marks & 1.6 Goals from 11 games in 2019.

AFL FANTASY TAKE
Expect Levi Casboult to continue as a key forward, Harry McKay is likely to be ready for Round 2 once the season recommences.
Casboult did spend significant time in the Ruck in Round 1 after Matthew Kreuzer injured his foot, Mark Pittonet or even Tom De Koning may be used as an R1 if Kreuzer is unable to go in Round 2.
Curnow is a pass in season long fantasy.
