Sydney small forward Ben Ronke will likely miss Round 2 due to a knee injury sustained in Round 1, he was unable to train fully over the AFL shutdown period.

Ronke has since resumed training & will progress to full fitness, the Swans are hopeful he can return to action soon.

“Ben didn’t do a lot of running during the shutdown period to rest and recover”

“He is back in training, has been able to do some rehab work over the last few weeks and will resume skills training this week.”

“Hopefully he can come on quickly and be available soon, but is unlikely to be available for Round 2.” Swans GM of Football Charlie Gardiner.

Ronke averaged 10.4 Disposals, 2.9 Marks, 2.1 Tackles & 0.7 Goals from 13 games in 2019.

AFL FANTASY TAKE

With Ronke likely missing in Round 2 along with Franklin & Reid the Swans will likely rely heavily on Issac Heeney & Tom Papley as part of their forward mix.

Ronke is not considered an option for season long fantasy.
