Gold Coast midfielder Anthony Miles will be sidelined for the short term, he injured his hamstring at training last week.

Miles was recovering from a torn pectoral muscle sustained in the pre-season, this latest injury may sideline him for a standard 3-4 weeks (for a hamstring).

“He was playing on Friday and injured his hamstring in the last quarter so unfortunately that will see him set back for a couple of weeks (prior to returning to training).” Suns Head Physiotherapist Lindsay Bull.

Miles averaged 21.4 Disposals, 3.8 Marks & 3.9 Tackles from 17 games in 2019.

AFL FANTASY TAKE

With the amount of talent drafted recently into the midfield by the Suns Miles may find it a difficult task to be selected despite playing 17 games last season, Suns coach Stuart Dew has by-passed several experienced players previously in order to develop the young team into a competitive outfit.

Miles isn’t considered an option in season long fantasy.
