Essendon
The move of Andrew McGrath (DK $7,000, DS $14,270)Â into a pure midfield spot this season is paying dividends for the Bombers, he averaging 22.0 Disposals (82.8pts) while being used at 76.0% of team CBA’s.
With the suspension of Dylan Shiel for 2 weeks McGrath will likely assume more responsibility in the Essendon midfield, he is proven ball winner in traffic and in contested situations.
With plenty of options in the midfield to roster on Friday night McGrath may be overlooked especially with many looking to roster Bulldogs Mids.
Western Bulldogs
Jack Macrae (DK $8,100, DS $16,260) has yet to consistently hit his ceiling games this season but his average of 86.3pts from his last 4 games has been more than reasonable.
Macrae was used at 69.2% of team CBA’s last week, he has been used at 66.4% of team CBA’s this season. The Bulldogs have opted for a narrow rotation at centre bounces for most of the 2020 season.
Macrae has crushed against the Bombers in his last 2 games averaging 34.0 Disposals* (124.0pts*), there is the possibility he may be slightly overlooked being the highest priced midfielder on Friday night with others possibly opting for a more balanced midfield roster.

With the injury to Jake Stringer in Round 5 Darcy Parish (DK $5,000, DS $10,680) moved into a midfield role in Round 6 scoring 72pts (Rounds 1-5 Ave: 45.0pts).
Parish was used at a season high 66.7% of team CBA’s in Round 6, he was used at 14.0% of team CBA’s between Rounds 1-5.
With the suspension to Dylan Shiel for 2 games it should all but guarantee the midfield usage for Parish on Friday night, he’ll be a very popular selection with forward status adding further value in order to spend up in midfield spots.
